"So what's wrong with taking the backstreets?

I've done a lot of different kinds of photography throughout my journey and fur sure have taken over a 200.000 photo's. With my enthousiastic and curious nature I tend to fall in love with a lot of things. That really has helped me to get to make the best out of every (photo) situation. And made me travel over the world fwith my camera.

So to all wanderers, D-tour takers: I get you. I believe in getting the work done. In craftsmanship.

Private situation: Next to taking d-tours, I'm very happy to be at our cosy country home with our 3 kids, trying to be a safe haven and encourage them together with my husband to be good people towards others and themselves.

The contradiction of fashion photography, traveling and being surrounded by groups,  and country family life is what's keeping things balanced out and staying interesting.

I don't tell stories. I capture stories that are already there.

In my conceptual work I create what's in my mind. Most of the time it's got a dreamy minimalstic feel to it. To leave space for the viewer to interpret the visual art.

yOU NEVER KNOW IF YOU DON'T GO, YOU NEVER SHINE IF YOU DON'T GLOW.

In location, time, body and choice.

I absolute enjoy gaining skills a lot. Always learning and trying out new things. Before I became a full time photographer I worked in education. Now I can combine the best of both  worlds.

With yourself, partner and the ones around you. To enjoy conversations, playing a game, books, theatre and music. It's what makes us feel alive.
